EnvaPower Rolls into the Midwest with the Launch of PowerIQ™ Bal-Day & Next-Day Market Intelligence for MISO

CAMBRIDGE, MA, July 12, 2007 EnvaPower®, the leading provider of electric power market intelligence, has expanded its PowerIQ™ product suite with the launch of a market intelligence service for MISO balance-of-day and next-day.

Operational since April 1, 2005, The Midwest ISO is one of the world’s largest wholesale energy markets with nearly the same amount of operational capacity as PJM but a much larger geographic footprint.

“MISO’s vast geographic breadth and volatility presented unique challenges,” said Dr. Kaiyan Jin, EnvaPower’s Principal Development Analyst. “To capture the volatility and variation in this immense region, we’ve built our most sophisticated model yet, comprising over 1,200 generators, over 1,500 power lines and over 1,000 nodes.”

“Our customers have been asking us to introduce a MISO product for some time,” says Dr. Gustav Beerel, EnvaPower’s CEO. “They see significant opportunity in MISO and are looking for help to understand causal drivers to market dynamics and risks. Based on early feedback, we’re confident that the comprehensiveness of our market intelligence and the insights of our analyst team are delivering significant value to our customers.”

Like all PowerIQ Market Intelligence Services, the MISO Bal-Day & Next-Day Service provides detailed daily fundamentals-based analysis of the market featuring:
